Introduction

Harbourside Retreat is a two bedroom self-catering holiday home in Poole, Dorset. The house is a modern two storey house built on level ground in walking distance of many attractions and amenities.

Pre-Arrival

• We have an extensive website and a paper brochure, both with illustrations of the property.
• Bookings can be made by telephone or email and we are happy to answer questions regarding individual access requirements.
• Poole railway station is just under a mile away.
• Poole bus station is about 3/4 mile away on foot.
• Poole town centre is about 1/2 - 3/4 mile away and the Quay about 1/2 mile.
• The high street is mostly pedestrianised and is level with drop curbs where necessary. There is a level crossing in the High Street.
• Poole runs a ShopMobility scheme from the Dolphin Shopping Centre, see http://www.pooleview.co.uk/mobility.htm for details.
• RADAR Toilets are available in The Dolphin Shopping Centre, the Bus Station, Baiter Recreation Ground and Poole Park.
• Dial-A-Cab Taxis will take wheelchairs (Tel 01202 666822).
• This access statement is available on our website, by post on request, and in the property.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• The property has a single dedicated off-road tarmac-surfaced parking space about 10-20 metres from the house. Other visitors' spaces are available nearby.

Main Entrance & Reception

• The main entrance is the front door in Vallis Close. Keys are sent to hirers two weeks before booking.
• The front door is 79cm by 198cm, hinging on the right. There is a step on the threshold 25cm high.
• The front door opens into the carpetted entrance hall.
• An Information Pack can be found next to the CD/Radio.
• Open tread stairs, 70cm wide, not especially steep and with a banister rail on the right, lead up to the first floor.

Dining Room & Lounge

• The entrance hall leads directly to the lounge / dining area.
• The flooring is short pile carpet.
• There are two two-seater sofas.
• There is a TV with remote control.
• There is a round wooden dining table (100cm diameter) with four lightweight wooden chairs.

• There is a front loading washer/dryer in the kitchen.
• There is a retractable washing line in the patio garden.

Outdoor Facilities

• At the rear of the property is a patio garden. The area is mostly paved, flat and level.
• This is accessed via a patio door, 70cm wide. There is a step 26cm high into the garden.
• Wooden patio furniture is provided.
• A back gate, 80cm wide, leads out onto Furnell Road with no step.
