The Baiter Park or Harbourside Park area of the town is very well situated between the Quay, shopping area and Poole Park.

 

For boat owners, the public slipway into Poole Harbour is also located here.

 

A short walk along the harbour front in one direction takes you past the yacht haven to the pubs, restaurants and entertainment of the Quay and beyond this into the pedestrianised High Street with its large range of shops and further restaurants.

 

A walk in the other direction takes you to Poole Park with its boating lake, miniature railway, children's go-karts, playground and ice rink, crazy golf, putting green, bowling green, tennis courts and cricket ground.
