Terms and Conditions
Booking Once you have decided on the date you wish to go on holiday, please check the availability by checking the website’s availability calendar (www.pooleholidays.com), emailing info@pooleholidays.com or telephoning 01784 452563 or 07949 767519 (evenings and weekends is the best time to call). Please then complete the booking form and send it with your cheque. Please telephone if you wish to pay in foreign currencies as this may incur additional charges. We are sorry we have no facility for taking credit/debit cards for payment at this time. A deposit of £100.00 per week to be reserved is payable at the time of making a holiday booking and this is not refundable in the event of the Hirer cancelling the reservation. Cheques to be made payable to Mrs Cheryl Pilley. Once the £100.00 non-refundable deposit (plus any other money due at the time of booking – see booking form for details) is received with the completed and signed booking form the booking will then be confirmed by email, or post if no email address has been provided. If on receipt of the booking form and deposit we find we are unable to accommodate you the full amount of deposit will be returned to you. If you wish the holiday period to be provisionally held for you please telephone or email for a "confirmation of availability" before sending your booking form. Provisional bookings will be held for 7 days to allow you to send your booking form and remittance. If the money and paperwork is not received from you within this period the holiday dates requested will be shown as available again. The head of the party must be over the age of 18 at the time of placing the reservation. If the Hirers are any other nationality other than British, Irish or Commonwealth Citizens , to comply with Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972, the following information must be provided for all Hirers over the age of 16 – Nationality, passport number and onward destination. Payment There is a non-refundable booking deposit of £100.00 per week reserved, which is to be paid with the submission of the booking form. This £100.00 deposit will become part payment of the balance due. Payment of the deposit assumes acceptance of the terms and conditions. A binding contract exists once the Hirer has completed and submitted a booking form and received confirmation of the booking. It is vital that the details on the booking confirmation are checked immediately and any problems notified to us straight away. No booking is finalised until all money due including the deposit has been received. The balance of payment is required no later than 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. The balance shall include a £100.00 damage bond. This will be posted back to the Hirer in the form of a cheque made payable to the head of the party within 14 working days of the end of the holiday, subject to the keys being returned and there being no excess cleaning charges or damage to the property or fittings. If there are deductions to be made then the return of any remaining bond money may be delayed. For bookings made less than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday, full payment plus the damage bond is required in full at the time of booking. Bookings made within 5 days of the start of the holiday to be paid in cash as directed at the time of booking. Refusal of Bookings The property is intended to be rented as self catering holiday accommodation to families and couples. Poole Holidays reserve the right to refuse bookings if they wish to do so without being required to give further reason for their action and accept no liability in respect of refusal or cancellation. If single persons or groups wish to rent the property an additional damage bond may be required, please contact Poole Holidays for further information. Hire of the property The Hirers have the right to occupy the property for holiday purposes only for the period booked. The property is hired on the basis of the Housing Act 1988 with the clause stating – The Hirer is granted the right to occupy the accommodation for a holiday only. Nov’05 E. & O.E. The agreement is not a protected tenancy under the Rent and Housing Acts. It is not permissible to assign, let, part with possession of the accommodation, nor allow any other person other than those named on the booking form received by the owners to occupy the accommodation. The Hirer shall only allow those named on the booking form to stay in the property. Violation of this requirement will invalidate the property insurance and the damage bond will not be refunded. If, for whatever reason, Poole Holidays have to cancel the holiday the only compensation given will be the return of the money paid to them by the Hirer at that point in time. Care of the Property The Hirer shall treat the property with care and not wilfully damage the fabric of the building or its contents. The Hirer shall not cause a nuisance to others. The Hirer shall ensure the property is locked and secure at all times when empty. The Hirers of the property leave their items in the house and car parking space at their own risk. Hirers should seek insurance coverage for personal belongings. The owners will not accept liability for injury to occupants. The Hirers will ensure that they are familiar with the procedure in the event of a fire. We regret we cannot accommodate pets or smoking within the property. The accommodation is made available for letting on the understanding that it is left in a THOROUGHLY CLEAN AND TIDY CONDITION at the time of vacating by the Hirer. The Hirer must also ensure that all surplus food and drink, etc. is disposed of and that ALL WASTE IS put in the appropriate bins provided (either the general rubbish or recycling). The Hirer will not move any of the furniture or household items from their existing location. The hire of the bed linen is included within the rental of this property and beds will be made up in readiness for your arrival. Please ensure that the beds are not slept on without bedding and the mattress protectors in place. The Hirer is responsible to pay the reasonable costs of cleaning, clearing, renewals, repairs or redecoration works necessitated by any damage caused during the period of hire (reasonable wear and tear and damage by fire excepted). The Hirer must comply with all estate regulations and lease terms affecting the accommodation (which are displayed at the property). | ||||||
